Effective August 28, 2010, a new liquor law has been signed by Governor Deval Patrick stating that liquor liability coverage is now mandated for all liquor-related and alcohol-servicing establishments. The new law advises that liquor licensees must provide proof of liquor liability coverage when renewing an existing license, or obtaining a new license with the town and/or city.
The updated minimum liquor liability limits that must be carried are: $250,000 per person, and $500,000 per occurrence.
